Day 1 Shanghai → Chongren Ancient Town → Xiacai Village → Qianwang Village → Hotel

All day

7:45-8:00, gather at the designated location of China-TravelNote and sign in.

At 8:00 sharp, we boarded the bus and set off. Led by the tour leader, we had an itinerary briefing and interesting interactions on the bus. We laughed and chatted all the way, and before we knew it, we were approaching our destination.

We arrived at Chongren Ancient Town around 12:00 PM. Let's take a group photo! Then we tried Shengzhou rice cake dumplings and steamed buns, two of the nation's most famous snacks. They were steaming hot, and the tender tofu and savory pork complemented each other perfectly. It was so delicious you'd almost swallow it.

After lunch, explore Zhejiang's last thousand-year-old ancient town. It's devoid of commercial activity, with only quaint old houses from the Ming and Qing dynasties and small shops from the last century quietly standing guard. Strolling through the town, you'll see stages, ancestral halls, and painted buildings, making you feel like you've stepped into a play, a scene of bizarre beauty.

Around 2:00 PM, we gathered and boarded the bus for Xiacai Village in Ganlin Town, home to a breathtakingly beautiful and hidden maple forest. Maple leaves formed a sea of crimson, and falling leaves shone like rain. As we journeyed through the mountains, our gaze was captivated by the towering sea of maples and the golden carpet of fallen leaves. We were captivated by the scenery, and we grabbed our cameras to capture the dreamlike moment.

Day 2 Shengzhou City → Banzhu Village → Tianmu Mountain → Shanghai

All day

Wake up around 8:00 am and have breakfast. Check out around 8:30 am and head to Banzhu Village.

Around 9:30, we arrived at Banzhu Village, which was once a commercialized scenic spot. Now it has restored its original appearance and can be described as an autumn secret place in the valley. The word "dream" is no exaggeration here. The red maple leaves, golden ginkgo, red-crowned fir forests, and blue mountains and rivers, autumn has generously spread all its colors on today's hiking trail. Any words here seem too thin. You will see it with your own eyes and be intoxicated as you walk.

Everyone followed our guide's lead, each glance a glimpse of the vibrant colors, each step a blossoming experience. Along the way, we passed through ancient villages, traversed a challenging, steep ridge, and ascended to the summit of Jinyin Terrace, sharing a meal along the way. The scenic area's quaint steps offered a pleasant climb, interspersed with soft dirt paths along the ridge. A gentle breeze, falling maple leaves, and a blanket of golden and crimson leaves created a truly idyllic autumn paradise.

Around 15:00, everyone returned to the starting point. The bus had been waiting for a long time. We reluctantly said goodbye to Autumn Tianmu and got on the bus back to Shanghai.

We arrived in Shanghai around 19:00 and everyone kissed goodbye with tears in their eyes!

Driving time: Xinchang to Shanghai, about 4.5 hours

Hiking: 10km hike, climbing about 800m. The climbing section is mainly steps in the scenic area and dirt roads on the ridge, while the descending section is steps and gravel slopes.

Note: Due to the influence of weather and temperature, the red leaves season varies each year. Tourists, please adjust your mindset and enjoy your trip!

1. What if it rains during the event?

2-3 days before the event, we will decide whether the event will proceed as scheduled based on the weather forecast and route conditions. Please pay attention to our notifications. Most activities can proceed as usual even if there is light rain. There is still fun to be had on rainy days. If heavy rain is forecast, the event will be cancelled and a full refund will be given to everyone.

2. Is this route crowded?

Most of our routes are natural and niche, with relatively small traffic. Of course, it also depends on the registration situation for each period. Generally, ordinary models are 37-seat buses, and a few large models are 53-seat. Each car has a certain proportion of tour leaders to ensure the quality of the event.

Chongren Ancient Town: Located west of Shengzhou, Zhejiang Province, approximately 11 kilometers northwest of downtown, Chongren Ancient Town is nestled against Wulong Mountain, with the Changshan Creek running through the town. The history of Chongren stretches back at least 1,700 years. The "Square Well" located northwest of the ancient town is the oldest known well discovered in Shengzhou. A stone tablet inscribed with "The Second Year of Chiwu (239 AD)" beside the well indicates that residents were already here during the Three Kingdoms period. Historical records indicate that before the Qiu family migrated here, Chongren was already quite prosperous, with the five major surnames of Zhang, Huang, Li, Duan, and Bai congregating there. Buildings such as the Five Temples, the Great Compassion Tower, and the Zhuming Nest once existed. During the Qingli period of the Song Dynasty, the Qiu family relocated to the eastern octagonal well of Changshan Creek in Chongren, becoming the first ancestor of the Qiu family in Chongren. Subsequently, the Qiu family flourished here, gradually gaining a dominant position.
