Note: The return time to Chengdu city center is only an estimate. Traffic congestion may cause arrival later. Please do not book flights or high-speed trains departing Chengdu before 9 PM that evening.
Please note that this is a semi-independent itinerary. With the exception of the Dujiangyan Scenic Area, the remaining scenic areas (Qingcheng Front Mountain) are open to you without a tour leader.
Please note your hotel address in the back-end when placing your order (we offer door-to-door pickup within the Second Ring Road).

Q: Why do customers from Shanghai need to make a note when placing an order?

A: Due to the Wenchuan earthquake, Shanghai is the counterpart aid provider for Dujiangyan City. As a token of our gratitude, Shanghai residents are receiving the Dujiangyan Residents Discount on their tickets. However, we charge the regular ticket price. We don't have a channel to purchase Residents Discount tickets, and our backend can't verify your identity. Therefore, you must make a note of the discount and purchase it on-site with your ID. The difference in ticket price will be refunded after the tour. If you don't make a note of the discount, your ticket will be charged the regular price and no refund or reimbursement will be available.

Q: Why do we go to the Qingcheng Front Mountain Scenic Area instead of the Back Mountain or Outer Mountain?

A: If you're finally able to visit Xi'an, would you choose to visit the so-called "Terracotta Warriors" attraction, where local farmers have installed a bunch of poorly constructed replicas in pits dug by themselves near Mount Li? Similarly, the Qingcheng Back Mountain was developed in the mid-to-late 1980s, building upon the former mountain scenic area. Its natural scenery isn't unique, and it lacks the blessing of a Taoist patriarch. The area is vast, and it's impossible to explore it all in half a day. Tourists primarily drive there to escape the summer smog, supplemented by fitness and mountain climbing, so it's not on the itinerary.

Q: Why doesn’t the tour leader accompany us into the Qingcheng Mountain Scenic Area?

A: To ensure the team leader has enough energy for the return trip and to ensure driving safety. Qingcheng Mountain is known as "the most secluded place in the world" and "the birthplace of Taoism." With the mountain as the main scenic area, it is also suitable for independent exploration and climbing.

Q: Can I bring my pets into the park?

A: Pets are not allowed into the scenic area. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Q: Do children need to buy tickets?

A: Children under 6 years old (inclusive) or under 1.3 meters tall (inclusive) do not need to purchase a ticket. They only need to make a reservation with a valid adult ID and enter the park by swiping the adult ID. Children aged 6 to 18 can purchase a minor ticket, make a reservation using their ID number, and enter the park with their household registration booklet.

Q: What should I do if I don’t have my ID card with me?

A: Please bring your ID card. One ID card is required for each person. Children without an ID card will not be allowed into the park. (Children without an ID card must use their household registration booklet to enter.) Thank you for your understanding.

Q: Are the palaces, temples and shrines open?

A: The Erwang Temple in the Dujiangyan Scenic Area, and the palaces, temples, and shrines in the Qingcheng Front Mountain and Back Mountain Scenic Areas are temporarily closed.

Q: Will the rainy season affect my trip? Is it safe?

A: The driving time may increase, but the scenic area is safe. If there is a risk of geological disasters, you will be notified in advance.

Q: I'm leaving Chengdu at night. Can I take my luggage with me? How much luggage can I take?

A: The specific situation depends on the type of vehicle used for the next day's trip. You can consult customer service in advance. If the limit is exceeded, it may affect the trip.

Q: Can I book a flight/high-speed rail ticket leaving Chengdu on the evening of my trip?

A: It is not recommended to book tickets for the evening of the same day. There may be traffic jams on the way back. If you must leave that night, it is recommended to book a flight or high-speed rail after 9:00 am

Worship the waters of Dujiangyan and seek Taoism at Mount Qingcheng. Dujiangyan nurtured the land of abundance, while Mount Qingcheng, the birthplace of Taoism, is known as the "most secluded place in the world."
