After getting off the bus at Wangjiawu, the starting point of the hike, we passed by Dongyue Temple and arrived at Fahua Temple. Opposite the gate is a screen wall. To its right is a stupa with the relics of Sakyamuni, and to its left is the bone stupa of Zhao Puchu, the former president of the Buddhist Association. Nearly 100 years ago, when the Buddhist Association of China was first established, Fahua Temple was one of the initiators. We then headed to Lingshun Temple, located in Beigaofeng, Xihu District, known as the "No. 1 Temple of the God of Wealth in the World." Built in 326 AD (during the Xianhe period of the Eastern Jin Dynasty), it is the earliest famous temple in Hangzhou. From the Beigaofeng Observation Deck, you can take panoramic photos of West Lake. (Stay for about 30 minutes, which can be extended or shortened depending on the number of people visiting that day).
After a short rest, we walked along the Beigaofeng Trail all the way to the undiscovered Majiawu [Nafu Yuntai]. The view here is vast, overlooking the West Lake and the entire city of Hangzhou. The view is very broad. We rested here again, enjoying the cool breeze and the occasional eagle flying by, which was very novel.
Afterwards, head to the Hangzhou Botanical Garden, where you can enjoy a variety of flowers and plants year-round. I'm already looking forward to the autumn arrival of the pond cypress trees. The garden offers ample shade, allowing for a wide range of photo opportunities. Unlock your own forest-like beauty! Photographers, enjoy the beauty around you. The Han Meilin Art Museum, home to the internet-famous Buddha head, is also a popular check-in spot. You can also admire the artwork on display. Lingfeng Plum Blossom Exploration: Lingfeng Plum Blossom Exploration has three main areas: the Longyue Tower Scenic Area, the Baimu Luofu Scenic Area, and the Plum Garden Scenic Area. There are over 100 varieties and over 5,000 plum trees, with colors like royal pink, cinnabar, green calyx, and golden shrub. It's already peak bloom, so miss out and you'll have to wait another year!
For this route, you need to book tickets in advance on the Hangzhou Botanical Garden official account (ticket price: 10 yuan)
