This is a beautiful mountain village forgotten by time and space. The villagers have lived here for generations, leading an almost isolated life. To this day, the small mountain village still retains its original historical features and relics. This is Changling Village located in the deep mountains of Taihang in Xiuwu County, Jiaozuo City, Henan Province.

According to legend, Changling Village's history dates back to the Southern Song Dynasty. Originally named Changjiaoling Village, it was renamed Changling Village because Yue Fei, during the Southern Song Dynasty, fought against the Jin army there. He saw the dangerous terrain and considered it a strategic location. Behind the village, a mountain range stretches hundreds of kilometers straight to Lingchuan County in Shanxi Province, leading to the name. Local records indicate that over 500 years ago, a family surnamed Ji from Gaoping, Shanxi, migrated here, establishing the village's history.

Changling Village has a long history and is located deep in the mountains, so a large number of traditional stone houses are well preserved in the village.

In this relatively small village, there are 40 traditional buildings recognized by relevant departments.

The crisscrossing paths connect dozens of residential courtyards.

The oldest remaining house in the village was built during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty and has a history of more than 500 years.

The houses are built on the mountainside, with bluestone structures, layer by layer, and they have transformed a mountain into a village. This is really admirable for the wisdom and perseverance of our ancestors. The old bluestone houses on the roadside seem to tell you the history of the past.

Memories of the past can still be vaguely seen in the uninhabited houses.
