7:00: Meet at the designated location of China-TravelNote, 7:15: Depart on time (latecomers will not be accommodated!)
7:15-11:00: The journey is long and there will be a stop at a service area in the middle. The tour leader will introduce himself and explain the itinerary on the bus, and there will be laughter all the way. During the journey, friends can also recharge their energy for the next hike.
Around 11:00: We arrived at the ancient village where the hike started - [Sanshiliuwan Village]. After warming up, we started hiking!
This is an ancient village hidden between Sanyintan and Xufuyan in the Xuedou Mountain Scenic Area. It is talked about by many people for its beautiful scenery. It is called the Alpine Garden Village. Bonsai are everywhere in the village, making it look like an artistic garden.
Next to [Sanshiliuwan Village] is the Siming Mountain Canyon, where there is a unique ancient hiking trail. Our hiking trip starts from here.
We walked along the ancient mountain trails. Soon after leaving the ancient village, we found that we were walking on a cliff. On the left was the Ten-Li Cliff, and on the right was a mountain full of autumn-colored forests, including red maples, Japanese maples, reeds, ginkgo trees and five-needle pines. Almost all autumn plants can be found along this route!
After leaving the ridgeline, we began to walk down the ancient trail. After a while, we saw a [dead vine] with a strange appearance, like the arm grown by a thousand-year-old tree demon.
Around 12:30 PM, we'll enter the Xufu Rock Scenic Area, a national 5A-level scenic spot. We'll pass by the massive Ten-Li Waterfall, where you can strike a cool pose and take some stunning photos! If you're lucky, you might even see a rainbow!
We will choose a place at the right time to start our road meal, and everyone can share the delicious food!
Afterwards, we continued hiking. The beautiful autumn scenery was all around us, without interruption. As we walked along the route, we couldn't help but sigh from the bottom of our hearts that there were so many beautiful views.
Then we went to another village today. We went up the mountain from here. The Japanese maple forest, bamboo forest, and colorful forests all over the mountains in the distance nourished the eyes all the time.
The climb here is relatively slow, so just walk slowly.
Around 3:00 PM, after reaching the summit, we'll be treated to a fantastic, comfortable fire trail hike with endless autumn scenery along the way! The ancient pines in autumn are even more charming at this moment!
The autumn colors here are the most beautiful part of the whole journey, and you can take out your mobile phone to take photos.
After walking along the firebreak, you will then walk down a flight of stairs. The autumn scenery here is beautiful, with red leaves all over the mountains.
Then we arrived at our destination - [Dongxi'ao Village]. It is a quiet village with only one small shop in the whole village. Everyone can replenish their supplies here, or visit their [Ancestral Hall] and experience the pure village in the mountains!
Note: This route is a year-round scenic route, where you can enjoy cherry blossoms in spring and colorful forests in autumn. It also has the Xufuyan Waterfall, a small and less visited treasure route.
Due to the changeable climate in autumn, the viewing experience of maple leaves may vary from batch to batch. However, the scenery of Dongxi'ao is beautiful at any time. Tourists are advised to participate in the autumn viewing activity with a positive attitude to appreciate the changes in nature.
The hike ended around 4:30 PM and we reached the end point. The bus had been waiting for us for quite some time, so we boarded and headed back to Shanghai.
We returned to our departure point in Shanghai around 20:00. We all said goodbye with tears in our eyes and agreed to meet again next time.
