What should you pay attention to when traveling in the plateau?

1. When you first arrive at the plateau, do not overeat to avoid increasing the burden on your digestive organs. Do not drink alcohol or smoke, and do not do strenuous exercise so that you can adapt well to this environment.

2. Eat more vegetables, fruits and other substances rich in vitamins, and drink more water.

3. Prevent colds caused by catching a cold. The temperature difference on the plateau is particularly large, and it is easy to catch a cold. It is better to be warm than cold, and wear more clothes.

4. If altitude sickness occurs, don't panic. Treatment should be tailored to the severity of the reaction. If the reaction is mild, rest, drink plenty of water, and exercise less. The reaction will generally disappear or weaken after a period of time.

5. Commonly used drugs for preventing altitude sickness: Rhodiola rosea, muscle liver tablets, glucose, etc. Start taking them two days before entering the mountains and continue taking them during the journey to effectively prevent altitude sickness.

6. Prevent dryness, especially use lipstick and sunscreen for sun protection, which can effectively prevent water loss and increase the body's resistance.

7. Safety factors should be fully considered during outdoor sports. Do not ignore safety just because the scenery is too beautiful. Do not go out alone at night in your accommodation.

8. As most of the route is located on the plateau, the driving time is long. There is a possibility of delays in arrival due to objective factors such as traffic jams and road maintenance.

The Siguniang Mountain Scenic Area is located in Siguniangshan Town, Xiaojin County, Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province. It belongs to the Qionglai Mountain Range on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and comprises four continuous peaks: Yaoguniang Mountain (Yaomei Peak), Sanguniang Mountain, Erguniang Mountain, and Dagoniu Mountain. Yaoguniang Mountain, at 6,250 meters, is the second highest peak in Sichuan Province. These four peaks are permanently capped with snow. Because Yaoguniang Mountain is so slender, it is often called the "Queen of Shu Mountains" and the "Eastern Alps." Changping Valley, an ancient battlefield site, is one of the three valleys and one mountain of Siguniang Mountain. Changping Valley, a 29-kilometer-long, gently sloping gorge covering approximately 100 square kilometers, is home to Siguniang Mountain, located 16 kilometers into the valley. Only a limited section of the road within the valley is accessible by car; the rest is largely accessible on foot or by horseback. Changping Valley leads directly to the foot of Siguniang Mountain, or you can bypass Siguniang Mountain and cross to Li County via Bipeng Valley.
