Day 1 Hangzhou → Chun'an → Baima Rudong
07:00
Meet at China-TravelNote headquarters (Zheshang University Pioneer Park, Building D parking lot) for your departure. Note:
1. Bring your own headlamp, which should provide at least 6 hours of illumination.
2. Wear old clothes and shoes, as they will get wet. Keep a change of clothes in the car for the return trip.
11:00
Arriving at Baima Rudong (please bring your own headlamp or powerful flashlight), our guide led us into the mysterious Baima Rudong. The springs gurgled, and under the light, we gazed upon a myriad of stalagmites and stalactites, each one a unique and fascinating sight. Large caves nestled within smaller ones, and smaller caves leading to larger ones. Around 12:00 PM, we enjoyed a cave-inspired lunch (bring your own). Dark night, starlit, cave symphony: Deep within the pristine cave, untouched by artificial light, illuminated by headlamps, stalactites cascaded like crystal curtains, stalagmites towered like ancient forests, and underground rivers played the ethereal music of nature.
12:00
In the cave hall, we enjoyed the cave lunch (bring your own), with a full sense of ritual: enjoying the lunch you brought in the cave hall, the sound of chewing food in the dark was amplified by the cave, and experiencing the living atmosphere of primitive humans.
2:00 PM
Return along the same route at the appropriate time.
3:30 PM
Essential Caving Tips: Mandatory items
to bring: headlamp (with spare batteries), non-slip shoes, and a warm jacket (due to low temperatures inside the cave).
Recommended additional items: a hard hat (to protect against falling rocks), a waterproof phone bag, and a first aid whistle (for distress signals).
Leaving the group or touching the fragile sediments is strictly prohibited. The crystals formed over millennia by stalactites are easily damaged by human body oils
. Mark forks in the path (fluorescent stickers or chalk) to avoid getting lost.
Those with hypertension or claustrophobia are not advised to participate. Caving should be conducted with caution during the rainy season (to prevent sudden surges in the underground river).
Some areas of the cave lack signal, so inform your family in advance of your trip. Please
remove all trash and avoid introducing any foreign species (such as snack scraps).
