Today is the gathering day for the event, and tourists from all over the country will be arriving in Yinchuan, the ancient capital of the Western Xia Dynasty. Rich in hometown customs, majestic desert scenery, beautiful waters of the Great Wall, the ancient Yellow River civilization, and the mysterious Western Xia culture have all made Yinchuan a vibrant city.

Tourists can choose their own mode of transportation and go to the meeting hotel by themselves, and report "China-TravelNote+name" to check in (a text message will be sent 3 days before the trip, please check it).

Tourists who arrive early can choose to visit Yinchuan city freely.


Recommended places to visit: Ningxia Museum, Lanshan Park, Chengtian Temple Pagoda, Drum Tower, Jade Emperor Pavilion, Haibao Pagoda, Phoenix Monument, Zhenbeibao Western Film City, etc.

Recommended dishes: mutton offal, ramen, hand-pulled lamb, spicy lamb, stir-fried meat, and red fruit spicy porridge.

Day 2 Yinchuan → Laseng Temple → Wuhai

After breakfast, we set out from Yinchuan and head north along the eastern foot of the Helan Mountains.

Passing by the "Little Potala Palace" - Manbala Monastery, the La Monastery has a history of more than 200 years and is the earliest Mongolian medical institution in western Inner Mongolia. It is built on a cliff, and the steep mountain adds a bit of mystery to the La Monastery.

In the afternoon, we'll travel to Wuhai Lake, located in Wuhai City, Inner Mongolia. Formed by the Haibowan Hydropower Project on the Yellow River, the lake, along with the Ulan Buh Desert and the Gander Mountains, forms a unique "Sand and Water Mountain" landscape. Half desert, half sea, it's known as "Desert Thousand Island Lake." We'll take a speedboat deep into the heart of the desert, experiencing its vastness and mystery. We'll then journey onto a desert highway, flanked by desert and ending in a city. Only here can you truly experience the juxtaposition of civilization and wilderness.


We will stay in Wuhai City at night. This small and unpopular city is a real treasure town. Let’s go to explore the delicious food in this small city together at night.

Day 3 Wuhai → Tengger Desert → Five Lakes → Tonghu Grassland → Desert Camping

Today's Topic: Desert Off-Roading | Searching for the Heart of the Earth - Wulan Lake


Today will be an exciting day. After breakfast, we'll depart for a three-hour drive to the Alxa Heroes Conference venue. Here, we'll transfer to an off-road vehicle and venture into the heart of Tengger. We'll explore five distinctly colored lakes and experience the wonders of nature. Our team will also offer a simple aerial photography service (though this may not be possible in the event of rain).

Wulan Lake—blood-red and fiery, like the beating heart of the Earth; Camel Lake—romantic pink, resembling a camel strolling through the desert, known as the Pink Land of Tengger; Maple Leaf Lake—dreamlike orange-red, like a maple leaf drifting in the Tengger; Egg Yolk Lake—bright and pale yellow, resembling egg yolks scattered in the desert; and Guitar Lake—mysterious orange-red, like an earth instrument, playing the melody of nature. (The itinerary guarantees visits to Wulan Lake and Camel Lake; the other lakes may be replaced depending on weather and road conditions.)

Note: Lakes like Wulan Lake are red from late June to mid-October, with July and August being the reddest. (The color may vary slightly due to weather conditions.)

After this fantastic journey through the five lakes, we'll travel by bus to Tonghu Grassland. As night falls, the grasslands of Inner Mongolia come alive with activity. The "Success Immediately" bonfire performance, steeped in Mongolian folk customs, is a dazzling, passionate, and captivating spectacle. Following the performance, visitors gather around the bonfire, holding hands and singing and dancing. The evening concludes in a joyous atmosphere.


Stay in the desert camp at night and look up at the brilliant stars.

Note: After National Day, the groups will be adjusted to hotel accommodation in the city according to weather conditions and camp operations.

Day 4 Zhongwei → Shapotou → Qingtongxia Yellow River Grand Canyon → Wuzhong

After breakfast, we'll travel by car to Shapotou, Zhongwei, a scenic spot that combines the majestic beauty of the Northwest with the exquisite scenery of the Yangtze River Delta. Here, tourists can explore the Shapotou Yellow River area, visit the Shapotou Scenic Area's Desert Control Museum, experience China's natural sand sliding, and experience the Shapotou Yellow River Zipline, the world's first zipline across the Yellow River. Revel in the desert and swim in the desert's ocean—a once-in-a-lifetime experience for many.

After visiting Shapotou, we'll head to the Qingtongxia Yellow River Grand Canyon. This is the last canyon in the upper and middle reaches of the Yellow River. Formed by the remnants of the Helan Mountains and the Niu Shou Mountains, it stretches over ten miles and is known as the "Little Three Gorges of the Yellow River." "Observing bronze forged civilization, standing by the Yellow River, understanding China; regulating the great river, prospering the nation."


After the tour, transfer to Wuzhong City for overnight stay.

Day 5 Wuzhong Morning Tea → Western Xia Tombs → Disband in Yinchuan

Every city has its own unique way to celebrate, and Wuzhong's signature approach is its dazzling array of dim sum restaurants. Yes! Even this remote northwestern city boasts a dim sum culture that rivals that of southern cities. We'll take you on a journey to savor a unique northwestern dim sum experience.


After breakfast, we'll head to the Western Xia Tombs, a World Heritage site, to explore this mysterious period of history. On July 11th, Beijing time, the 47th UNESCO World Heritage Conference, held in Paris, France, adopted a resolution officially inscribed the Western Xia Tombs on the World Heritage List, making them my country's 60th World Heritage site.

The Western Xia territories stretched "from the Yellow River in the east to Yumen in the west, from Xiaoguan in the south to the desert in the north, encompassing over 10,000 miles." They were described as "occupying one-third of the empire and dominating the northwest for two hundred years." Explore the ruins of the Western Xia Royal Tombs, hailed as a "mysterious wonder" and the "Pyramid of the East." This is one of the largest and most complete existing imperial mausoleums in China, incorporating the strengths of imperial tombs dating back to the Qin and Han dynasties and influenced by Buddhist architecture, resulting in a unique form of Chinese mausoleum architecture. Learn more about the mysteries of Western Xia civilization and bring this distant and mysterious kingdom to life up close.


After the tour, we will first arrange to send you to the station, then to the meeting hotel, and finally to the airport.
