Longchi Mountain Hiking/Longchi Mountain Bicycle Park
We started the Longchi Mountain Spring Hiking Loop, climbed up to Chengguang Zen Temple, and walked through the bamboo forest. You can also see wild bamboo shoots and wild flowers along the way. (The total length is 6-7km, mostly on wild roads, with a steep descent, so be sure to wear non-slip shoes.) The road conditions are 2 stars difficulty.
If you don't choose to hike, head to the Longchi Mountain Bicycle Park at the foot of the mountain. Along the way, you will pass by mountain streams, tea plantations, bamboo forests, and reservoirs. There is no need to deliberately find the right angle. Every place is a masterpiece of nature and there are beautiful scenery everywhere.
The park's 12km bike path is perfect for a light hike or renting a moped to explore the tea gardens filmed in the TV series "The Rest of My Life," and embark on a relaxing stroll. (The park closes at 5:00 PM in spring, which refers to the park's restrooms, shops, and electric bike rentals. The park itself remains open.)
2:30 PM
The Second Pottery Factory is a 40-year-old purple clay factory that was transformed into a block integrating art and ceramics. The art gallery with a ceramic facade has also become a popular check-in spot.
Designed by architect Kengo Kuma, the UCCA Art Museum is located in the heart of the Taoerchang Cultural District in Dingshu Town, Yixing City, Jiangsu Province. The two-story building spans 2,400 square meters. (The museum is currently closed to the public due to an internal event.)
Tao Erchang-Shushan Gunan Street (on the street, about 10 minutes' walk)
In the northeast of Shu Town, Dingshan, Yixing, there is an ancient Shunan Street, also known as Shushan Old Street. This old street is a thousand-year-old street. The street is full of buildings from the Ming and Qing dynasties. A large number of purple clay art masters have emerged from the old street.
Across the street, we'll visit the former residence of Gu Jingzhou, a renowned purple clay craftsman, a quaint shop selling purple clay utensils, explore the Dongpo Academy, and stroll through Xiansheng Temple...
We found our own food in and around Gunan Street. Recommended Yixing delicacies include: black rice, fish head stew, steamed chicken, wild onion fried rice, and Zhanggong tofu.
5:00 PM
Arriving at the end of the hike, the bus had been waiting for us for a long time, so we boarded and headed back to Shanghai.
8:00 PM
Arriving in Shanghai, we all said goodbye with tears in our eyes.
