Day 1 Suzhou → Ningbo → Yuegong Mountain → Alpine Powder → Dongshan Village → Suzhou
All day
07:00 Gather and sign in at Exit 11A of Wuxi Sanyang Square Subway Station (in front of Yunfu Building on Zhongshan Road).
We boarded the bus at 07:15 and departed on time. The tour guide introduced the tourists to each other, explained the itinerary, and played interactive games. We were full of laughter and joy all the way to our destination.
We arrived at the foot of the mountain around 11:00 AM and hiked up the Qingshanling Ancient Trail. As soon as we entered the trail, we were greeted by a vast bamboo forest, the chirping of birds and the cacophony of cicadas, a truly tranquil experience. The trail is mostly flat, but at the beginning, towering bamboos line the sides, their leaves verdant, and the gurgling stream flows year-round. This stretch of trail also boasts the "Longtan Waterfall," one of the Eight Scenic Spots of Dongshan. On the left side of the trail, a waterfall cascades down a massive rock face into a deep pool. When the water is low, it gurgles, while at higher speeds, it rumbles, a truly spectacular sight.
Around 12:00, we went up the mountain to visit the sea of pink daisies and took photos. We found a place to have lunch (bring your own food), and after a good meal, we were refreshed and ready to continue.
We started to descend at 13:00 and walked down the ancient trail of Yuegong Mountain, passing by beautiful scenery: "Clear springs gushed out from hanging waterfalls, rushing down the cliffs like sharp knives. The jumping pearls were like rain in three mountains, and the sound of pouring into the ravine was like the sound of endless waves."
At around 15:30, we arrived at the foot of the mountain. The bus had been waiting there for a long time, so we gathered and returned.
The pleasant journey ended around 19:00. Everyone was reluctant to leave and kissed goodbye with tears in their eyes. We look forward to meeting again next time!
