Arriving at the Second Pottery Factory
, the former 40-year-old purple clay factory was transformed into a vibrant art and ceramics district. The museum, with its ceramic facade, has become a popular photo spot.
Designed by architect Kengo Kuma, the UCCA Museum of Ceramics is located in the heart of the Second Pottery Factory Cultural District in Dingshu Town, Yixing City, Jiangsu Province. It spans two floors and covers a total area of 2,400 square meters. (Entrance fees to the museum are at your own expense.)

Shushan Ancient South Street
Northeast of Shu Town, Dingshan, Yixing, lies Shunan Ancient Street, also known as Shushan Old Street. This thousand-year-old street, dotted with buildings from the Ming and Qing dynasties, has produced numerous masters of purple clay teapots.
Across the street, we'll visit the former residence of renowned purple clay teapot master Gu Jingzhou, quaint shops selling purple clay teapots, explore the Dongpo Academy, and stroll through Xiansheng Temple.
We'll find our own food on Gunan Street and nearby, recommending Yixing delicacies like black rice, fish head stew, steamed chicken, wild onion fried rice, and Zhanggong tofu.

Gather and depart for Dajue Temple and Yunhu Lake
Arrive at Dajue Temple and visit the courtyard of Master Hsing Yun, the founder of Fo Guang.
Inside the Main Hall stands a 10-meter-tall jade statue of seated Sakyamuni Buddha,
flanked by colored stone and jade carvings of the Eastern Lapis Lazuli World and the Western Paradise .
French instructions are available at the entrance, wishing all people inner peace.
The temple is filled with adorable little monk sculptures waiting to be discovered.
We wandered the temple grounds, visiting the Guanyin Temple, the Art Museum, the Main Hall, the Xianglin Duobao White Pagoda...
Pursuing the Buddha's wisdom,
from the Guanyin Hall, we gazed out over the Main Hall, the dark green sky, and the melodious Buddhist chants .

. Opposite Dajue Temple is the Yunhu Scenic Area, where
the distant mountains are subtly inky and the nearby waters
are a delight.
