We recommend visiting Kyoto to fully experience the Tang Dynasty charm of this ancient capital!

Recommended attractions:

丨Kyomizudera Temple

A World Cultural Heritage site and Kyoto's number one tourist attraction. Founded in 778, it's Kyoto's oldest temple and a National Treasure! Climb the suspended wooden stage, the Kiyomizu Stage, and take in the lush greenery of Kyoto.

Gion

The renowned Hanamachi, a historic district known for its erotic charms since the Edo period, still houses dozens of geisha instructors, offering training in traditional tea ceremony, flower arrangement, koto, gagaku, and Kyogen. Entering Hanamachi, the teahouses lining the street retain their traditional wooden windows, creating a sense of transport back in time. As the lights come on, perhaps you'll even catch a glimpse of a graceful geisha amidst the shimmering shadows.

Fushimi Inari Shrine

Thousands of vermilion torii gates (Senbon Torii) form a tunnel, making walking through it feel like descending into a Japanese dream. Fushimi Inari Taisha's white fox ema is also unique; try your hand at creating your own expressive graffiti!

Today we recommend visiting downtown Kobe to experience this exotic port city.

Recommended attractions:

丨Kitano Ijinkan

Due to the prosperous trade between the port of Kobe and foreigners since the Edo period, the city began to become a place of immigration for foreigners. In particular, the "Kitano" area overlooking the harbor is home to a variety of foreign merchants' homes, consulates, and distinctive street scenes. These remaining non-Japanese buildings are collectively known as "Ijinkan."

Not only can you find distinctive buildings of various styles and exotic food here, but you can also enjoy occasional street performances. While visiting, you can buy package tickets and collect stamps, and spend half a day wandering around these romantic buildings.

Kobe Bridge

This bright red, double-decker steel bridge is a landmark of the Port of Kobe. With pedestrian and bicycle paths, you can stroll along and enjoy the harbor views. From the harbor, you can also admire its industrial aesthetic and romantic nightscape. The bridge has also appeared in numerous Japanese anime and manga! Why not embark on a pilgrimage to this sacred site?

丨Million Dollar Night View

Have you ever seen the "million-dollar night view"? In the 1940s and 1950s, Kobe Port was the first port in Japan to be illuminated again. Foreign sailors exclaimed, "It was like a million-dollar light." Hence the name. Climb Mount Maya's Kikuseidai and fully enjoy the night view of Kobe, ranked alongside Nagasaki and Hakodate as one of Japan's three greatest night views.
