08:30

After breakfast at the hotel, we headed to Yiyang

09:30

Arrive at Guifeng Peak in Yiyang. Guifeng gets its name from the numerous turtle-like rocks within the scenic area, which, from a distance, resemble a gigantic tortoise. Known as one of the "Thirty-Six Peaks and Seventy-Two Scenic Spots," it combines the unique, treacherous, ingenious, and ingenious. It's known as "a rare sight in the world" and a "natural bonsai." Its unique natural landscape, characterized by the saying "every mountain and every rock has a turtle," and its rich cultural heritage have made it a recommended attraction by numerous renowned authors and dramatists, including the traveler Xu Xiake and the TV series "Journey to the West."

This time we will hike the entire Guifeng Peak, starting from the visitor center, walking to the Osmanthus Garden and then to the General Building up the mountain.

11:00

The Southern Sky Pillar is one of the most iconic sights of Guifeng. It's dozens of meters tall, wide in the middle and narrow at both ends, standing upside down on the cliff. It's a unique sight and worth a photo opportunity. There are few supplies in the scenic area, so we brought our own lunch and enjoyed it at lunchtime.

13:00

Camel Peak is one of the highest peaks in the scenic area, and it is very steep and rugged. Some sections of the climb to Camel Peak are very dangerous, such as the almost vertical iron ladder at the top of the peak. Please pay attention to safety and do it according to your ability. From the Camel Peak Observation Deck, you can overlook the magnificent view of the Turtle Peak Danxia Landform. If the weather conditions are right, the sea of clouds after the rain is even more stunning.

3:00 PM

After descending from Luotuofeng, we headed to Qingshuitang, then returned to the scenic area entrance and headed to Yiyang city.

3:30 PM

Visit Dieshan Academy. Built in the fourth year of the Yuan Dynasty's Yanyou reign, Dieshan Academy was originally a Confucian temple. It collapsed over time and was later rebuilt during the Ming Dynasty's Qiqi reign. Overlooking the Xinjiang River, the academy is built into the mountainside, rising from low to high in a staggered pattern. From the tower, you can take in the panoramic views of the Xinjiang River and Guifeng Mountain.

4:30 PM

Drive to Sanqingshan

6:30 PM

In order to avoid the first wave of people to go up the mountain the next day, we arrived at the foot of Sanqing Mountain to stay

Driving time: about 3.5 hours

Hiking: The entire hike to Guifeng is about 10 kilometers, with an ascent of about 460 meters, and takes about 5 hours.

Day 3 Sanqing Mountain

08:00

During the National Day holiday, the Sanqingshan Cableway had lines starting at 6:00 AM and lasting 2-3 hours, so we hiked up the mountain for about 2 hours. We had breakfast at the hotel, checked our suitcases, and headed up the mountain lightly, carrying only carry-on luggage.

10:00

After the hike, we'll arrive at our accommodation on the mountain, store our luggage, and pack our belongings. After a short rest and a light lunch, we'll begin our hike along the right loop of Sanqing Mountain, visiting scenic spots like Wanshou Garden, Azalea Valley, the Giant Python Emerging from the Mountain, and Jade Terrace. Azalea Valley and Jade Terrace are great spots for watching the sunrise and sunset. Tourists hoping to watch the sunset should be sure to bring a headlamp or flashlight, and be extremely careful when walking in the dark.

4:00 PM

Return to your accommodation in the evening and you can split the bill for meals. Prices in the scenic area are quite high, so it is recommended that you bring plenty of food and drinks.

Sanqingshan has very little light pollution at night. The strange rocks and pines as the landscape, coupled with the starry sky hanging overhead, is extremely romantic. If the weather is good, you can take your own star photos.

Hiking: About 11 kilometers, climbing about 1100 meters, taking about 6 hours

At Sanqingshan, you can not only admire the beauty of sunsets but also the magnificence of sunrises. Yutai is a great place to watch the sunrise, allowing you to witness the magnificent spectacle of the rising sun firsthand. We grabbed our headlamps and headed to the Yutai scenic area we had visited the previous day in the dark to await the new sunrise! (To see the sunrise, you need to walk 2 kilometers to and from Yutai, climbing about 240 meters.)

08:00

After breakfast, we packed our bags and began our hike along the left side of Sanqing Mountain. We followed the Sunshine Coast Plank Road all the way to the Sanqing Palace Scenic Area.
