Day 1 All over the country → or → Huangshan North Station/Tunxi City Hotel

Tourists from all over the country go to Huangshan City and gather at Huangshan North Station between 13:00 and 13:30. Everyone will get on the bus with the tour guide.
Arrive at the Old Street of Yansi Ancient Town between 2:00 PM and 2:30 PM. The Huizhou people are very hospitable. The hand-rolled, paper-thin wontons are served piping hot. A bowl of them is a true taste of home. The wontons are complimentary, and each person gets one. Feel free to explore other delicious food on the old street. Jianzhong Lingshan Jiuniang is known for its long queues in Tunxi Old Street, but there's no need to queue here.
14:30-15:00, arrive at the hotel in Tunxi city to check in and gather at the appropriate time.
From 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, the bus will take you to Tunxi Old Street for some free time to eat and drink. This short pedestrian street, steeped in architectural styles from the Song, Ming, and Qing dynasties, is one of Huangshan's bustling commercial districts. Many first-time Huangshan visitors stop here to experience the bluestone slabs and ancient Huizhou architecture, and visit the museum.
Around 6:30 PM (meeting time is subject to change depending on the evening's performances), the bus will take you to the Huangshan Huixiu Service Center, also known as the Huangshan Performing Arts City. You can enter the venue early based on the schedule. Huixiu performances are generally scheduled from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The performances are 60 minutes long and condense half of Huizhou's history. The Huixiu performance is complimentary and non-refundable.
It covers the ancient legends among pines, stones, clouds and springs, the dangerous ancient roads in the legends of Huizhou merchants, the glory of the century-old Huiban troupe and the stories of Huizhou women, etc. It vividly reproduces the historical changes and cultural heritage of Huizhou, and the history of ancient Huizhou is also concretized at this moment.

If your high-speed train schedule doesn't match the above meeting time, you can arrange to take a taxi to your city hotel upon arrival. After checking in, you'll have free time to explore. Be careful and stay safe! Your tour leader will contact you in the evening.
If you need to drive to the destination by yourself, you can take the bus from Wuyuan back to Tunxi to pick up the car.


Day 2 Hotel → Xieli → Tachuan → Hongcun

After breakfast, check out and head to Tachuan (approximately 1.5-2 hours by car)
Arrive at Tachuan at around 9:00 AM. The ancient Chinese tallow trees planted at the entrance and surrounding areas are towering. After the frost, the leaves turn from green to yellow, and from yellow to red. The mountains are covered with colorful autumn leaves, and the ancient mountain village with its pink walls and black tiles is hidden among them. It is so beautiful. Wander freely in this dreamy colorful forest.
Around 10:30 AM, after enjoying the breathtaking autumn scenery of Tachuan, we transformed ourselves into a part of the autumn scenery, walking along the country roads and taking a leisurely hike to Xieli. We arrived at the Xieli Observation Deck, where we could overlook the ancient village of Xieli, known as the "Colorful World." The autumn colors were vibrant, and the mysterious Qishu Lake was faintly visible.
Around 12:30, we will go to a restaurant near Hongcun and have a free lunch.
Tachuan's autumn scenery: Tachuan's main trees are tallow trees. When the minimum temperature is between 12-15°C, the leaves gradually turn yellow. When the minimum temperature is between 8-12°C, the leaves gradually turn red. They begin to fall below 8°C. Rainfall will accelerate leaf drop, so please be reasonable and adapt to the changing weather.

Around 2:00 PM, check in before meeting up for an in-depth tour of Hongcun, known as the "Village in a Painting." This small village, renowned for its waterways and architecture, has become a landmark of the Huizhou region. With its flowing water and riverside houses, it resembles a tranquil and lingering ink painting. Enjoy Hongcun's sculptures, literary works, and historical roots, and experience the rich history of Huizhou culture.
You can choose to eat as you like for dinner or gather together for a meal. In the evening, you can enjoy the night view of Hongcun, where strings of red lanterns light up and the black tiles and white walls add a touch of elegance and vitality.


Day 3 Hongcun → Qiyun Mountain

You can get up early in the morning to avoid the peak and enter Hongcun again to enjoy the less crowded and beautiful scenery of Hongcun. The Moon Pond and South Lake in the morning are perfect places for taking photos.
Return to the hotel in time for breakfast, check out, and board the bus for Mount Qiyun (approximately 50 minutes). Mount Qiyun boasts numerous cliff carvings and Taoist temples, making it a truly overlooked mountain.
Take the cable car up Qiyun Mountain. The morning route: Wangxian Tower - Dongtianfudi - Dongtianfang - Shouzi Rock - Tianyi Gate - Zhenxian Cave - Ertian Gate - Santian Gate - Yuehua Tianjie (lunch stop). Stroll and take photos, stopping for a guided tour. The morning walk takes 1.5-2 hours. This well-established scenic area has a walking trail that can be completed by children aged 6 and older, and even the most agile of seniors.
For lunch, you can go to Yuehua Tianjie and book a table or have a bowl of Huizhou noodles.

Afternoon Route: After lunch, continue walking for about 1.5-2 hours, visiting Yuehua Tian Street, Taisu Palace, Xiaohutian Temple, Changsheng Tower, Baiyue Restaurant, Yuehua Terrace, Fengyuan Terrace, Lingxu Road, Zhanzhao Peak, Zuowang Terrace, Mengzhen Bridge, and Wangxian Tower. Don't rush, take your time to enjoy the scenery and experience the romance of Anhui style.
At around 3:00 PM, we will take the cable car down the mountain and arrive at the resort hotel at the foot of the mountain to check in. We will then be free to stroll around Qiyun Town and find dinner.

Qiyun Town is full of excitement after dark. Let's gather together to experience the leisurely atmosphere of Baiyue Night. The following activities are all near the hotel and can be reached on foot. You can choose as needed. There is no unified arrangement of specific activities. Relax at your leisure time.
There are various exciting activities such as the Golden Dragon Boat Festival, Iron Flower Festival, Fish Lantern Festival, Fireworks Show, etc., which are dazzling.
Day 4 Qiyun Mountain → Huangling → Jujing → Shicheng

After breakfast, check out and head to Wuyuan [Huangling] (approximately 1.5-2 hours by car);
Arrive at the foot of Huangling Mountain around 10:00 AM and ascend by sightseeing cable car to the cliffside Huangling Ancient Village. Huangling is a masterpiece of human heritage, surrounded by thousands of ancient trees and tens of thousands of acres of terraced fields, creating a 580-year-long idyllic mountain retreat. Hundreds of Hui-style dwellings are staggered across a 100-meter drop. Every sunrise, the morning light illuminates the village, illuminating the weathered adobe walls of the Hui-style dwellings and the vibrant colors of harvested fruits on drying racks and in the round drying racks, creating a unique agricultural landscape of "drying autumn fruits." Huangling is hailed as "the most beautiful place to experience nostalgia" and "the most beautiful village in the world." The unique autumn sun-drying landscape was successfully selected as one of the "Most Beautiful Chinese Symbols", and the ancient village of Qianling was rated as the "Best Tourist Village" by the United Nations World Tourism Organization. Tea leaves are dried in spring, peppers are dried in summer, fruits and vegetables are dried in autumn, and folk customs are dried in winter... 128 households "dry autumn sun in ancient houses", a fairy tale that never ends for 365 days.

At about 14:30, we left Huangling and headed for [Shicheng] (about 2-2.5 hours' drive). On the way, we passed Jujing, an ancient village surrounded by a circular stream. We climbed up to the Jujing Observation Deck to take in this uniquely designed secluded ancient village.
We arrived in Shicheng around 5:00 PM. Cheng Village in Shicheng is nestled among maple trees, with morning mist lingering on the treetops. Red leaves are barely visible through the mist, while the morning smoke from villagers' cooking and burning tea leaves converges in this small valley, creating a dreamlike wonderland. In the golden autumn, the red maples of Shicheng are ablaze with color. Nestled between the mountains and the water, the ancient Hui-style villages create a tranquil and distant landscape, a harmonious harmony between man and nature. Standing on the hillside, even a mobile phone can capture stunning photos!
5th Tianshicheng → Qinghua Zhuantang Umbrella Factory in Qinghua Town → Wuyuan Station/Huangshan North Station/Huangshan City

Today, everyone needs to get up early to enjoy the morning view of Shicheng. Get up early to grab a good spot and don't lie in bed. Based on years of experience, the best time to enjoy Shicheng Chengcun is from 06:30 to 08:00 in the morning. The sun usually rises between 07:00 and 07:15. After the sun comes out, the morning mist and smoke begin to move.
After enjoying the beautiful morning scenery, walk back to your accommodation for breakfast.

After breakfast, check out and board the bus to the Intangible Cultural Heritage Umbrella Factory in Thanh Hoa Town (approximately 1 hour drive).
Arriving around 10:00 AM, the intangible cultural heritage inheritor will lead the tour and explain every step of the oil-paper umbrella production process, allowing everyone to gain a deeper understanding of the history and culture of oil-paper umbrellas. You can also watch professional painters hand-paint the paper umbrellas on site. After the tour, you can choose your favorite pattern to start the experience. You can take your own oil-paper umbrella home as a souvenir, which is also a special Huizhou gift.

Around 11:30, we will have a free lunch at a hotel in town and then we will be dropped off at the station.
We arrived at Wuyuan Station around 1:30 PM and then Huangshan North Station around 4:00 PM. The bus then returned to downtown Huangshan, making it convenient for self-driving tourists to pick up their vehicles and return. The trip ended with a tearful goodbye. See you next time!
