【Experience the Millennium Blessing Lantern】
Lishangren Lanterns (also known as Shanglu Lanterns) are a traditional folk lantern unique to Lishang Township, Chun'an County, Zhejiang Province, with a history of over 500 years. Legend has it that during the Jingtai reign of the Ming Dynasty (1450s), Shanglu, a native of Lishang and the top scholar in the imperial examinations, crafted exquisite lanterns and presented them to the court in gratitude for the emperor's grace. This tradition later evolved into a folk custom of praying for blessings.
We visited the Shang Lu exhibition hall to learn about the culture of the top scholar and the story of the Li Shangren Lantern.
Experience the needlework of Shangren Lantern and make a complete lantern (about 2 hours in total) to bring home the thousand-year blessing.
