Finally, I got to ride the drift ice sightseeing icebreaker Aurora 2 in Abashiri!

Actually, even if you go to the site, the drift ice can drift depending on the wind direction, so even if you're on an icebreaker, you might not be able to see it.

I only found this out when I got there, lol.

This time, I was lucky to see the drift ice right away!❗️

The drift ice was floating on the ocean,

The entire field of view was covered in drift ice. The Aurora 2 was amazing, crashing into the ice, breaking it, and moving forward!❗️

The drift ice is said to be 40-50cm thick,

I really recommend experiencing the sensation of crashing into it and moving forward!❗️

Unfortunately, the Aurora 2 retired in March 2022,
