I visited the Taj Mahal on my own!

The beauty and size cannot be expressed in a photograph.

The moment you see the Taj Mahal from the entrance, you will be sure to be impressed by its dazzling beauty.

I don't know if this will be helpful, but I will list below the amount of money I spent on sightseeing alone as a woman.

I visited the Taj Mahal in June 2024.

Money spent

- Round-trip train fare from Delhi to Agra Cantt: about ¥3,500
- Agra Cantt Station to Taj Mahal: 110 rupees (including tip, about ¥203)
- Taj Mahal: about ¥2,405
- Taj Mahal to Agra Cantt Station: 150 rupees (including tip, about ¥277)

The rickshaw driver on the way back was very kind to me, so I gave him a large tip.

💴Total: about ¥6,385

The rickshaw driver, photographer, and guide were quite pushy, but I kept saying "NO THANK YOU".

It's a lot cheaper than a tour, but if you don't want to go through all the hassle, I recommend a tour.
