A Turban Hall with a Unique Spiral Structure

One of the Three Great Turban Halls

I've previously visited Hyakutai Kannon Seishin-in Temple in Honjo City, Saitama, and Sogenji Temple in Ota City, Gunma,
and it was a place I wanted to visit when I came to Aizu.

It's located on Iimoriyama, famous as the site where the Byakkotai (Byakkotai) members committed suicide.

This Aizu Turban Hall is the only one in the world with a double spiral structure,
and has been designated an Important Cultural Property by the national government.

Looking out at the slanted windows, I walked up the sloping slope, and at the top of the ceiling, I found a Senjufuda (a charm of the gods) posted as a commemorative rite of passage.

I visited three shrines, but this spiral was by far the most impressive.
