Needless to say, the first stop when we visited Almaty, Kazakhstan, was the super healing “First Presidential Park”! The park is backed by spectacular snow-capped mountains, and the atmosphere is exotic. It is simply one of the most beautiful places to take pictures in Almaty. In addition to being surrounded by natural scenery, you can also feel the leisurely rhythm of life in the capital of Kazakhstan!
🌲 Route Highlights:
The biggest selling point of Almaty First Presidential Park is the unbeatable snow-capped mountain view and the vast grassland. Whether you’re looking for a relaxing walk, a picnic with friends, a small family breakout or a place to relax! Coupled with the park's architectural design incorporating Kazakh characteristic elements, every corner is very characteristic, some locations can see the city and snow-capped mountains in the distance, simply fantastic!
🤩 Attraction recommendation: First President Park
📍Address: 5VVP+FP7, Almaty, Kazakhstan
🕒 Opening hours: 07:00-23:00 year-round
✨Personal insights/tips:
After visiting, I found that the best time to take pictures is in the early morning or evening, when the sun and snow-capped mountains come into the photo together. On a nice day (especially in autumn, winter and early spring with snow-capped mountains) the background of each photo is natural plus the filter is so beautiful. In addition, bring a thin jacket, because there will occasionally be a breeze near the snow-capped mountains, take pictures and check in without fear of cold. There are benches or small platforms at many locations in the park, where you can get books to read or bring your own snacks and picnics (remember to take away your garbage and keep the environment tidy!)
🍽 Food/Shopping Tips:
There are several local cafes and snack kiosks around the park, and it is recommended to try the traditional Kazakh beef pie, served with hot tea. If you have enough time, you can walk slowly along the outskirts of the park, find specialty cafes to sit and feel the authentic citizen life. In addition, there is a local souvenir shop nearby, so you can buy some specialty souvenirs after walking in the park!
🚗Transportation Tips:
If you live in the city center, it is recommended to take a taxi directly to the main entrance of the park, which is about 15-20 minutes away, which is super convenient. There are public parking spaces in the surrounding area, so you don't have to worry about parking.
📸 Playing Tips:
1. Morning or sunset time is the most beautiful to take pictures, avoid the noon backlight.
2. Remember to bring lightweight footwear shoes, the park area is large, walk a few more laps will not be bored.
3. The toilet facilities in the park are complete, children are suitable to unwind.
4. Whether healthy walking, jogging, there are specialized trails, super comfortable.
5. The park is open year-round and the atmosphere is more lively when there are festive events.
The First Presidential Park in Almaty is truly a must-see beautiful scenery on your trip. Whether on a self-guided tour or with a tour, remember to reserve time to come here to feel the natural and urban fusion of Almaty~
