The canals of Amsterdam are the city’s soul. I took both a daytime and evening canal cruise, and each offered a unique perspective. During the day, I admired historic gabled houses reflected in the water, bikes crossing arched bridges, and flower boxes spilling color. At night, the lights gave the canals a romantic glow, making the city feel enchanted. Wandering along the canal paths was just as charming as being on the water. These waterways are more than infrastructure—they are history, culture, and beauty all intertwined. Amsterdam wouldn’t be the same without them. #mytraveldiary
