Yangsimu Scenic Area, located in Wenjia Village, Taishan Township, Anfu County, Ji'an City, Jiangxi Province, is also known as Yang Simu.
The scenic area is shrouded in mist all year round, and the meteorological landscape of "sheep" and "lions" chasing and playing in the mountains is often seen, hence the name "Sheep and Lion Mu".
The scenic area is dominated by granite peaks and forests, which are magnificent and varied in shape. The main features are "strange peaks and rocks, flowing springs and waterfalls, colorful mountain flowers, a magical sea of clouds, rime and snow."
Lingyun Plank Road is a must-visit place when visiting Yangsimu. Strolling on the plank road, you will see strange peaks and rocks, thousand-foot cliffs rising into the blue sky, and the sea of clouds like waterfalls and silk, which will make you feel relaxed and happy, as if you are in a fairyland.
The Shisun Peak is 1,766 meters above sea level and is one of the most spectacular sights in the Yangsimu Scenic Area. It is 264 meters high and stands like bamboo shoots after a spring rain, breaking through the ground and piercing the clouds. It stands alone and towers high in the air, which is amazing. Therefore, it is named "Shisun Peak Piercing the Clouds".
During his school years, the Song Dynasty poet Yang Wanli visited this mountain and was so fascinated by the magnificent scenery of the mountains' strange rocks that he could not bear to leave, and yearned for it day and night ("Yang Shimu" was originally named "Yang Simu"). Especially after admiring the magnificent Shisun Peak, he left behind a poem that regretted the world: The tip of the pen pierces the sky, and the clouds are dipped in its sharp edge. Sprinkle it together from time to time, and it will spread the fragrance of nectar.
As it had just rained before we climbed the mountain, Yangsimu was extremely beautiful at this time: clouds and mist were lingering in the valley, curling up; strange rocks on the cliffs appeared and disappeared, and we seemed to be riding on the clouds and entered a dreamlike fairyland. Everywhere we looked, it was beautiful!
We lingered along the plank road in the clouds, gazing far or near, looking up or down, enjoying to our heart's content this beautiful feast bestowed upon us by nature!
The famous two "peaks" and five "blessings" in the scenic area are breathtaking. At the same time, they coincide with the traditional Chinese Taoist and Buddhist "blessing" culture, and demonstrate people's pursuit of "blessings" everywhere.
