Jilin Travel Guide｜The Magnificent Changbai Mountain, Heart-Shaped Tianchi Lake as a Symbol of Love

💙My secret Changbai adventure on Route 331 continues wonderfully. Today I arrived at the magnificent Changbai Mountain. This is my second time here; many years ago I climbed from the west slope in winter and was lucky enough to see Tianchi Lake. This time I chose the north slope route, which was crowded but the scenery was beautiful, and I was also fortunate to encounter the heart-shaped Tianchi Lake. At this moment, love takes shape, and the romantic atmosphere is truly overwhelming!

💙Standing by Tianchi Lake, despite the bustling crowd around, I quietly enjoyed the beauty before me. Time seemed to stand still, and I could hear my heartbeat. I looked at the distant mountains layered with clouds and the lake water as pure as jade. This is China’s deepest and highest volcanic lake, located at the center of the Changbai Mountain summit, surrounded by peaks. Nature has truly bestowed great blessings. Such magnificent landscapes stir my heart deeply. I feel incredibly lucky to be part of China in this lifetime.

💙Autumn at Changbai Mountain adds even more vibrant colors to the layered forests. The interplay of green and golden hues creates a rich sense of depth. The scenery captured through the lens is even more breathtaking, abundant and exquisite in every detail.
💙Waterfalls and forest secrets, we rode the mountain cable car through the autumn atmosphere, feeling relaxed and very romantic. The trees on both sides gradually change as we wind up and down the mountain along the serpentine road. The cars scattered among the mountains also form a unique landscape.

💙Besides Tianchi Lake, the Changbai Mountain scenic area also offers Changbai Waterfall, Small Tianchi Lake, Green Abyss Pool, Valley Bottom Forest, Mammoth Theme Park, and Huang Songpu Forest Farm to explore. These are very different ecological landscapes. I heard the valley bottom forest is tough on the legs but definitely worth visiting. Walking along the wooden plank road into the primeval forest, you can overlook a huge canyon at the end, enjoying the forest’s tranquility while breathing in the refreshing natural oxygen bar.
