See the frost-covered trees in Aomori

Here in Aomori Prefecture, Mt. Hakkoda, the season for frost-covered trees begins at the end of January!

You can only see frost-covered trees in six places in Japan and in the Black Forest in Germany. Amazing, right?

Honestly, the frost-covered trees at Yamagata Zao, which I visited two years ago, were even more amazing than those at Aomori Hakkoda!

The weather was so clear that it was called a miracle, and it was the perfect weather for a mountain climb, with a view all the way to Aomori city.

The temperature at the summit was -6°C and the wind was weak, so you could take off your outerwear.

*I was wearing an ultra-light down jacket.

When I went to Yamagata Zao, it was so cold that I thought my fingers would fall off, and because of the high altitude, the weather was quick to change, and there was a whiteout, so it was really tough! But the size of the frost-covered trees was impressive!

So which one would you choose? I recommend you go to both.
