Experience nature and Ainu culture in the mysterious valley "Kamui-kotan" 🏞️

#0yentrip

"A sacred valley carved into the rocks by the Ishikari River, said to be the home of gods. Full of sights to see, including strange rock formations, suspension bridges, and Ainu mythological traditions. The valley turns a beautiful color in the fall, creating a spectacular sight. Recommended for history buffs, too, with the remains of Kamuikotan Station and a steam locomotive exhibition.

[Access/Tips] About 30 minutes by car from Asahikawa Station. There are buses, but they are infrequent, so a rental car is recommended. Be careful, as the area around the suspension bridge is slippery!"
