Located in the parking area of Kusasenri, Aso, this is a geological museum where you can learn about the topography and history of Mount Aso, Japan's largest caldera, through models, videos, and live crater observations. In addition to a live camera showing the Nakadake crater, the museum also has a remote-controlled crater camera, so you can observe the real volcano at any time.  .

On the 170-degree screen on the third floor, videos are shown that convey the nature and life of Aso. On the second floor, there is a permanent exhibition where you can learn about volcanic formation and geological structure, and the visitor's center on the first floor also provides information on trekking and nature observation tours. .

Access Take a bus from JR Aso Station for about 20 minutes and get off at the "Kusasenri Aso Volcano Museum" stop. If you are driving, use the Kusasenri Parking Lot.
