[Shizuoka Prefecture/Izusan Shrine] A power spot in a hot spring area

Izusan Shrine is located up a steep slope by bus from Atami Station.
It is the place where Minamoto no Yoritomo and Hojo Masako were united, and is also known as a power spot for love!

A very unusual feature is the dragon at the temizuya (purification fountain).
There are two dragons, red and white, and the red dragon controls the power of fire, while the white dragon controls the power of water, and is the guardian deity of the hot springs. It is considered a symbol of marital harmony and matchmaking!

It is also famous for its palm trees, which have no veins, and the leaves cannot be easily removed, so it is said that Masako placed one of its leaves under her hand mirror.
If you come to Atami, this is one shrine you should visit.
