I visited Bali for a short trip and explored Ubud, Sanur, Nusa Penida, Legian, Kuta, and Canggu beaches.
1. Ubud
- Visited the Royal Palace, Monkey Forest, and the traveler’s street
- Yes, the monkeys do have red bottoms
2. Sanur
- Shopping at ICON Bali
- Snorkeling and diving via Sanur Harbor to Nusa Penida
- Visiting the small night market (it’s really tiny)
3. Legian Beach
- Surfing at the beach
- Enjoying a cold Bintang beer while watching the sunset
- Visiting street pubs where locals and foreigners mingle
- Eating local BBQ
- Shopping at Bintang Mart
Travel Tips:
- Massages seem better in the Sanur area.
- Near Legian Beach, head towards the Pullman Resort area to find a street full of counterfeit goods. There are always performances at the street pubs along the way.
- Around the Campi Hotel Resort, you can enjoy exploring the street pubs.
- For visiting Lempuyang Temple, Taman Ujung, and coastal drives, you can negotiate a reasonable price with a Grab driver.
- I personally took a route from Ubud to Luwak Coffee Experience, Lempuyang Temple, Taman Ujung, and the coastal road, which took about 11 hours and cost 900,000 IDR including tips.
Personally, I thought, "Oh, it’s nice and pretty," but as I wandered around Legian, Kuta, Seminyak, and Canggu, I understood why people choose to spend a month here. It’s a place where you can let loose to lively music, enjoy a beer, and forget everything for a while. You can live like a carefree wanderer, doing nothing but sightseeing during the day and enjoying a beer in the evening, all at an affordable price. It’s a place that offers satisfaction even in simplicity.
BALI!!!!!!
Next time, if I get the chance, I’ll definitely take on the challenge of spending a month here to rest my weary body from the hustle and bustle of life.
Have a nice trip.
