A giant, coiled snake statue stands silently guarding the rock face of GWK Cultural Park. It is the incarnation of Ananta Shesha.
In Hindu mythology, Shesha is an eternal, multi-headed serpent, considered the foundation of the world, bearing the gods and the universe. When Lord Vishnu falls asleep, he rests on the bed of this multi-headed serpent; even when the world perishes, Shesha remains, symbolizing the power of eternity.
Standing here, gazing up at the magnificent crown atop the serpent's head, one feels a sense of mystery and solemnity. This sculpture is more than just a mythological piece; it is a philosophical reflection: while all things are subject to the cycle of birth and death, only eternity remains the revelation of faith.
