Located in the heart of Ubud, Bali, Monkey Forest is a nature reserve combining lush forests with ancient temples.
Hundreds of long-tailed macaques roam freely here,
and visitors can walk along the forest paths and see them up close.
Admission is approximately 80,000 rupiah for adults,
and operating hours are daily from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Well-maintained walking trails are found throughout the forest,
and traditional Balinese temples, bridges, and sacred statues adorn the area,
making it feel more than just a zoo, but a place where culture and nature coexist.
While you should keep a close eye on your belongings, as the monkeys sometimes go after bags or food,
the close-up view of the monkeys is truly special,
and offers many photo opportunities.
If you're planning a trip to Ubud, I highly recommend it as a place where you can experience Bali's nature, animals, and culture all in one.
