Monkey Forest, Bali

Mandala Suci Wenara Wana, or well known as Ubud Monkey Forest, is the sanctuary and natural habitat of the Balinese long-tailed macaque. It is located at Padangtegal Ubud, Bali. About 1049 monkeys live in this sanctuary.

The sanctuary is well-maintained while still preservering the natural built - you can sense the sacred aura within the forest since it's actually a temple - there's also a graveyard for the locals to be buried in one of the temple's section. It inspires not of a fear, but rather a sense of calm and serenity.

The monkey forest attraction in Ubud is open from 08:30 – 18:00, but the ticket counter is open from 08:30 – 17:30. Because the protected forest area is inhabited by monkeys, there are some ethics and visiting rules that you must follow for your convenience.

and the entry fee is around 80.000/adult, 60.000/3-12yo.
