📍Brunei
Tourist Spot: Kampong Ayer
Kampong Ayer is one of the world's largest water villages, accessible by boat.
Since this was a day trip, I'll introduce it along with some photos.
[Introduction]
What is Brunei's water village?
In Brunei, while people can live on land, there are those who choose to live on the water. As a result, the village is equipped with infrastructure such as electricity and water supply, and even has facilities like fire stations, mosques, and schools.
Dating back to the 1400s, the royal palace was once located within the water village, making it a place rich in history. Today, many people still live here, offering visitors a unique opportunity to experience their way of life.
[Access]
- Water Taxi
- Cost: 1 Brunei Dollar per person
In addition to crossing to the water village, you can also enjoy a cruise to observe wildlife from the boat (additional charges apply).
Kampong Ayer is just a 5-minute boat ride away, offering a different atmosphere from Brunei's city center. Be sure to consider it for your travel plans🔖
