Wat Pho - Bangkok

Wat Pho is the oldest and one of the most beautiful temple complexes in Bangkok. Wat Pho is mostly famous for its giant Reclining Buddha which is 15 meters in height and 46 meters in length, covered in gold leaf. Pay special attention to the bottoms of Buddha’s feet, they are covered in thousands of embedded mother-of-pearls. It is extremely impressive. It was hard to take a good picture because the Buddha is too big)

I also recommend to take a look around the rest of the temple where you will find long lines of golden statues from different parts of Thailand sitting in the lotus position and many other interesting things.

A strict dress code applies - basically, visitors are always expected to dress appropriately at temples and state buildings throughout Thailand. Sleeveless shirts, torn shirts, very short blouses, spaghetti-strap blouses, see-through clothes, skin-tight pants, shorts three quarter length pants, and culottes are PROHIBITED.

In my opinion it is an absolute must visit while you’re in Bangkok. You won’t ever see something like this again in your lifetime.
