Hello! Today, I want to share my experience staying at the Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit. I don't often stay at this chain, but I wanted to try a French hotel chain known for its luxury under the Accor brand.
The hotel was recently renovated, if I remember correctly, earlier this year.
From the moment I stepped out of the car, the staff greeted me with a warm 'Bonjour,' making a great first impression.
The chandelier in the front, if I recall correctly, symbolizes the Songkran water festival. It's stunning and definitely a highlight.
The lobby might be a bit hidden, but if you have a Club room, the staff will guide you. For Club Millesime, you check in on the 31st floor.
After checking in, the staff escorted me to my room and explained how to use the various amenities.
I'm someone who loves scents, and the moment I stepped onto the floor, I was greeted by a lovely fragrance. The blue and white carpet was beautiful and soothing.
The room itself was impressive in size. Despite having three large suitcases, there was still plenty of space. Everything in the room, including the bed and bathroom, was new and followed the blue and white theme.
The bathroom had both a bathtub and a shower with a separate toilet area, which I personally prefer. The bathroom was also quite spacious.
The rooftop area offers a great view, and the drink prices are reasonable. It's very romantic in the evening.
I only visited Club Millesime once during the day, but the cake was delicious, and the club was almost empty.
I tried Maison Mizuki both nights. As a cocktail enthusiast, I loved this Japanese Whisky Bar, which also offers food. The decor is beautiful.
The staff provided excellent service, and I could have stayed there all night. The bartender made exquisite cocktails.
We ate and drank for two nights, and the bill was surprisingly affordable. (Accor members get a discount on food: 50% off for two people, 33% off for three, and 15% off alcoholic beverages.) The sashimi was very fresh and delicious.
In front of the hotel, there's a café called La Macaron, decorated in a Parisian style. The cakes looked delicious, but I didn't get a chance to try the coffee, so I can't comment on its taste.
Overall, I was very impressed and will likely return.
