"Colors": The Colors of Flowers and Capitalism by Artists Yuta Okuda and Muebon
The use of color in art is not only aesthetically pleasing, but also conveys profound stories and meaning. This exhibition, "Colors," presents the work of two renowned artists, Yuta Okuda from Japan, and Muebon, a Thai street artist, who take us through the colors of flowers and contemporary urban society.
Yuta Okuda uses color to convey emotion through seemingly simple images of flowers, but they are imbued with complex meanings. Flowers in his work symbolize the beauty and fragility of life. When we gaze upon their carefully selected shades, we may sense the delicate relationship between nature and humanity.
In contrast, Muebon uses color to challenge conventional notions of urban society and capitalism. His works often depict social contradictions, such as symbols of the fast-paced city, endless desires, and class imbalances.
Thus, color in the works of both Yuta Okuda and Muebon is not merely a tool for aesthetic purposes, but also a means of reflecting and critiquing society from different perspectives. This exhibition will allow viewers to appreciate the power of color, which conveys more than just its beauty. It invites us to contemplate the fragility of flowers and the complexities of capitalism.
