When it comes to Bangkok attractions with beautiful viewpoints, this place definitely comes to mind—Chao Phraya Sky Park, a new city viewpoint in the middle of the bridge over the Chao Phraya River. Let’s see how stunning the view is!
Highlights of Chao Phraya Sky Park
Chao Phraya Sky Park is located in the middle section of Phra Pok Klao Bridge, Wang Burapha Phirom Subdistrict, Phra Nakhon District, Bangkok. This area used to be the structure of the Lavalin railway track that had been abandoned and unused for over 30 years. Bangkok authorities then launched a project to renovate the landscape on the bridge structure over the Chao Phraya River, turning the middle section of Phra Pok Klao Bridge into an elevated public park connecting Thonburi and Phra Nakhon sides.
Chao Phraya Sky Park is designed like a public park with a 280-meter walkway and bicycle lane, with safety railings 2-3 meters high. It also has elevators for people with disabilities and the elderly, making it accessible for everyone of all ages. Additionally, the park offers panoramic views of Bangkok, allowing visitors to see far and wide, including landmarks such as Wat Arun’s prang, the great stupa at Wat Prayurawongsawat, Santa Cruz Church, Kudi Chin community, Phut Bridge, the post office building, Yodpiman, and Iconsiam. It’s another landmark perfect for relaxing and enjoying the beautiful Chao Phraya River views in Bangkok. Sitting here in the evening with the fresh breeze while gazing at the river is truly wonderful. Whether you want a chill spot to catch the breeze or a place for light exercise, we highly recommend visiting Chao Phraya Sky Park.
How to get to Chao Phraya Sky Park
You can take a bus and get off at Phut Bridge. Bus lines include 3, 7ก, 9, 42, 8, 73, 73ก, and 82. Alternatively, take the Chao Phraya Express Boat and get off at Phut Bridge Pier. Or simply take the MRT Blue Line to Sanam Chai Station, exit at Exit 4, and walk about 800 meters to the park.
