Luxury staycation in the Ploenchit area with a beautiful, very minimalistic pool

This is Doubletree Bangkok Ploenchit, a Hilton brand hotel
Located on Sukhumvit Soi 2, very close to BTS Ploenchit
The Doubletree brand is known for its warm service and hospitality
One of their signatures is that when you check in, they give you freshly baked hotel cookies to enjoy, a unique gimmick unlike other hotels
We came for a chill 1-night staycation at the hotel. It’s a large suite room here, and each room has a different view. We got the Ploenchit expressway view, which is nice, watching the cars drive by smoothly. We really like the pool here. Even though it’s on the 7th floor and doesn’t have a grand view, it’s beautifully decorated in a minimalistic style with white tiles contrasting with the beautiful blue water, and surrounded by plants. This pool area is a fantastic spot for photos.
As for food, there is only one restaurant on the lobby floor, an all-day dining place with meals available all day. We found a dish that was incredibly delicious—the signature river prawn chu chee curry. It’s really amazing, truly impressive.
