- Wat Sawat Wari Simaram clearly traces its origins to the reign of King Rama III, built by a sailing nobleman, Phraya Sawat Wari (Chim), who was engaged in trading between Siam and China. At that time, the temple was likely surrounded by communities and engaged in waterborne trade, and was lined with Cassia trees, hence its name.
- During the early Rattanakosin period, the temple was clearly situated outside the capital, but was immediately transformed into the city with the construction of Dusit Palace and Suan Sunandha Palace. Evidence of its connection to the area continues even after the change of government.
- This is another temple waiting to be revealed, situated on the banks of the Samsen Canal, accessible via both Nakhon Chai Si Road and Sukhothai Road.
- St. Francis Xavier Church, Samsen, located in the Dusit District of Bangkok, is an important and ancient Catholic church in Thailand. Built during the reign of King Rama III by a group of French Catholic missionaries, it served as a center for the spread of religion and the practice of Catholic worship in the Samsen area and surrounding areas. The first church was built of bamboo in 1834.
- The Church of Saint-Froissavière, which was damaged by a storm after only three years, was later rebuilt with bamboo. The third church took 10 years to complete, and was consecrated on the day of the feast of Francis Xavier in 1867. This third church is a neo-Gothic architectural style.
