Bai yun Chinese Restaurant, Banyan Tree Hotel

Today, I tried the Bai Yun Chinese restaurant of the Banyan Tree Hotel, a luxurious hotel in the Sathorn area. I tried ordering an appetizer menu, which was fried taro and crab dumplings stuffed with cheese. The taste was average, nothing special. As for the dim sum, I ordered fish dumplings. The dim sum was in the shape of a cute fat orange koi fish. The service was quite good, but the downside was that the drinks were quite expensive, which was the Panna brand mineral water. The hotel brought it because we ordered plain water, which cost 300 baht per bottle, not including the service charge and 10%, which is considered very high, higher than the shared price. In this case, I think the hotel should have informed us in advance because the price was not cheap, rather very expensive. In the hotel room, the water provided was just ordinary Chang water, which cost only 10 baht per bottle. If we were to say that it was to reduce global warming, it would not be a very reasonable reason. The taste of the food, if it's full 10, it's about 6 because the hors d'oeuvre isn't hot at all, but the fish maw and the dim sum are delicious but not wow. The service is quite good. In the end, the waiter gave a 15% discount on water only. However, it's still expensive. The price of the food is very high. Overall, the impression of the restaurant is 6 out of 10. I'm not particularly impressed. The taste is not excellent. But the view is about 8 out of 10. It's considered to be an atmosphere. #BangkokTravel #Staycation #BangkokHotel #BanyanTree
