🇪🇸 Barcelona Gaudi Tour 🚙
“Following the footsteps of a genius”
One of the things I looked forward to the most during my trip to Barcelona was the Gaudi Tour. Even though I didn’t know much about architecture, I knew the name Antoni Gaudi, and the buildings he created were already overwhelming just by looking at the photos.
🏰 First stop: Sagrada Família
The tour started at this iconic cathedral. It was so elaborate and magnificent that I couldn’t believe that it was still under construction. Each piece on the exterior had a story, and the interior was truly like a “forest designed by God.” I could really feel that Gaudi was inspired by nature. Listening to the guide’s explanation, I could feel it much more deeply than just looking at it.
🌳 Second stop: Parc Güell
Parc Güell felt like I had entered a fairy tale world. Colorful mosaic benches, lizard fountains, structures that blend in with nature… Gaudi’s creativity is truly beyond imagination. The view of Barcelona from high up was also fantastic.
🏡 Third stop: Casa Batlló & Casa Milà
These two buildings are located in the heart of Barcelona, so I could really feel how much Gaudi had become a part of the city. In particular, Casa Batlló felt like walking in the ocean, and Casa Milà really showed me what the beauty of curves is.
💭 Overall review
The Gaudi tour was not just an architecture tour, but a journey that allowed me to experience art, nature, and philosophy at the same time. This is a must-see if you visit Barcelona. Thanks to the behind-the-scenes stories and commentary from the tour guide, even the details that I would have otherwise overlooked came to me as precious.
✔️ Tip: Advance reservations are a must! They fill up quickly, especially during peak season, so prepare in advance.
✔️ I recommend the morning tour. During the day, there are a lot of people so it's difficult to take pictures.
