I didn't get enough of this newly opened hotel! I've been here twice.

I never imagined that one day I would stay in a hotel "growing" out of a reef. The Reef Hotel on Weizhou Island, a structure that seems to emerge from the ocean floor, has become my most unforgettable memory of this island journey, thanks to its unique design and prime location.
The hotel's design draws inspiration from Weizhou Island's distinctive volcanic rock landscape, with the entire building nestled naturally among the reefs along the mountainside and sea. From a distance, the hotel blends seamlessly with its surroundings, appearing as if it were nature's own masterpiece. Stepping into the hotel, you're greeted by fresh sea breezes and the rhythmic sound of waves crashing against the reefs, instantly making you forget the bustle of city life.
I stayed in an ocean-view suite that was spacious and bright, with decor that was minimalist yet elegant. The most delightful feature was the floor-to-ceiling window offering unobstructed ocean views. In the morning, I could watch the sunrise over the sea right from my bed, witnessing the sun slowly rise above the horizon, painting the sky and sea surface golden - a moment when time seemed to stand still. In the evening, I would relax on the balcony lounger, feeling the sea breeze and listening to the waves while watching the sunset paint the sky in brilliant colors, completely immersed in the romantic atmosphere.
The hotel's dining experience was equally impressive. The restaurant offers various seafood dishes, all prepared with fresh ingredients and exquisite flavors. I particularly enjoyed their seafood barbecue - dining at the open-air oceanfront restaurant while taking in the sea view was truly one of life's greatest pleasures.
Beyond comfortable accommodation and delicious dining, the hotel's facilities are comprehensive. There's an infinity pool, gym, and spa to meet guests' various leisure and entertainment needs. My favorite was the infinity pool, which appears to merge with the ocean, creating the magical sensation of swimming into the sea itself.
The hotel's surroundings offer plenty to explore. The Dishui Danping scenic area is just a few minutes' walk away, featuring unique sea-eroded landforms and spectacular volcanic rock formations. You can also rent an electric bike to cycle around the island, feeling the sea breeze and enjoying the scenery along the way.
