It seems that every tourist city has a certain street or village that suddenly becomes a hotspot, turning into a must-visit spot for travelers.
Liuxia Village, located at the foot of Guantouling in Beihai, boasts cultural and natural resources such as mountains, sea, ancient residences, and Mazu culture, and has developed rural tourism. The main street is not long, but there are many young people, and I have joined them too.
The ancient residential buildings are a major feature of Liuxia Village. The houses here mainly have red tiles and brick walls. Most of the old houses use a "stone room" structure, and even after reconstruction or repairs, they still retain the original architectural style.
Today, Liuxia Village has clean and tidy roads, neatly arranged tile-roofed houses, elegant and unique courtyards. The old houses have been transformed into distinctive homestays, dining spots, study and research centers, and cultural and creative hubs. The entire village exudes a simple, fresh, and artistic atmosphere. The improvement in the village’s "appearance" has attracted many tourists, and the number of shops in the village has gradually increased.
It is reported that now 80% of the houses in Liuxia Village have been leased by outside investors for homestay businesses and related facilities. Flower studios, artsy small shops, coffee bars, countryside pubs, and themed restaurants are flourishing everywhere.
