Just got back from Beihai! Full of fun eating, sightseeing, and beach time! Super detailed 3 days 2 nights itinerary with no pitfalls

📍Accommodation: Beihai Qiying Homestay (Yintan Branch)
Choosing the right homestay is really the key to a great trip! I did a lot of research before booking this one, and it exceeded all my expectations. After staying 2 nights, I didn’t want to move at all!

Only after staying did I realize they have over 2,000 rooms in 103 cities nationwide, a chain with guaranteed quality!

Day 1: Head straight to Wanda after arriving in Beihai: Take a taxi from the high-speed rail station to the homestay, drop off your luggage, then walk directly to Wanda (just over 1 km). One-stop for milk tea, hotpot, and buying souvenirs—no need to drag your luggage around, so convenient 🛍
Day 2: Watch the sunrise at Yintan without rushing: No need to set an alarm to rush out! It’s just a 5-minute walk from the homestay to Yintan Beach. Find a beach chair to wait for the sunrise, then you can go back to the homestay for a nap. Who doesn’t love that relaxed vibe? 🌅
Day 3: Super smooth trip to Qiaogang / Weizhou Island. Go to Qiaogang for snacks, it’s a 30-minute walk or 10 minutes by electric scooter (there’s a rental spot 500 meters from the homestay, 20 RMB for a whole day). To get to Weizhou Island, take a 5-minute taxi ride to the passenger port—no need to rush for the boat!

🏠 The room is so comfortable
Vintage style perfect for photos: I stayed in a mid-century style room with brown wooden furniture and vintage rugs. There were old posters on the walls, every shot looks like a scene from a retro movie 📾. There’s a little corner with cloud and pumpkin pillows, perfect for cozy selfies at night with great atmosphere~
Facilities better than home: The mattress is soft but supportive, which is great for my bad back—I slept two nights without pain. The bathroom has a dry and wet separation, and the hairdryer is high power, drying hair super fast. My favorite is the projector! After a long day, lying in bed watching movies is 10 times more comfortable than a hotel~
Thoughtful details: Before check-in, the host sends a super detailed guide, including how to take taxis and which nearby supermarket is cheaper. The room has a mini fridge with free bottled water and snacks, really feels like visiting a friend’s home~

🗓 Beihai 3 days 2 nights itinerary (with tips to avoid pitfalls)
Day 1: Arrive in Beihai → Wanda shopping and eating → Yintan sunset
Morning: After arriving in Beihai, go to the homestay to drop off luggage (check-in is super fast, no waiting)
Noon: Have lunch at Wanda, I recommend trying “Beihai Renjia” seafood porridge, it’s incredibly fresh
Afternoon: Rest at the homestay to avoid the midday sun, then walk to Yintan Beach at dusk to watch the sunset (remember to bring slippers for wading)
Evening: Order local stir-fried snails and sweet soup delivery, watch movies with the projector in the room, so comfy you won’t want to go out!

Day 2: Yintan sunrise → Qiaogang Cultural Street → Qiaogang Beach
Morning: Around 6 AM, go to Yintan Beach for sunrise (check sunrise time in advance, don’t go too early)
Late morning: Go back to the homestay for a nap or take photos there (the lighting is amazing)
Noon: Ride an electric scooter to Qiaogang Cultural Street, try Vietnamese rice rolls and crab noodles (recommend “Yuexiang Xiaochu,” popular with locals)
Afternoon: Spend some time at Qiaogang Beach, less crowded than Yintan and the water is clearer
Evening: Eat stir-fried ice at Qiaogang, stroll the night market, and buy some Vietnamese specialties (remember to bargain!)

Day 3: Weizhou Island day trip / city leisure → return trip
If you want to go to the island: Buy boat tickets and entrance tickets online in advance. Depart from the passenger port, the fast boat takes 1 hour. Recommended spots: Crocodile Mountain, Dripping Danping
If you don’t want to go to the island: You can take photos at Roman Square (European-style architecture, great for wearing dresses) or visit Danjia Town to experience fishing village life
Noon: Return to the homestay to pack, have a seafood meal before leaving (there’s a seafood market near the homestay that can help with cooking)

💡 Tips
Yintan Beach is free, but be sure to wear sunscreen, UV rays are very strong!
Always wear a helmet when riding electric scooters, or you’ll get stopped by traffic police
Don’t buy seafood in tourist areas; go to Qiaogang seafood market for cheaper and fresher options
The homestay can help arrange seafood cooking, cheaper than restaurants outside

This Beihai trip was really amazing, especially staying at the right homestay saved so much time and energy! If you’re going to Beihai, you must try this place~
