An evil shield

After a long day at the forbidden city, we were almost ready to go back home and give relief to our legs😌. But only our friend suggested, why not get a one last complete view of the whole 故宫 the Imperial palace. Initially we were quite reluctant that it involves a hike🥾 of nearly 40 minutes with steps, but when we saw a glimpse of what we could see; we were totally down for it.
This park is built to protect the emperor from evil spirits😈, and so they were constructed tall enough to cover the entire palace. On a clear day, you can see👀 the reflections of the architecture in the nearby waterways. You may need to buy an entry ticket of 20 rmb, but totally worth it 😎. Also wait until sunset to see colorful skies and glittering✨ palace that's well lit. #beijingtravel
