We visited this place 3 times in two different years. I say that both experiences were really different. 2 in the summer and one in the winter during Chinese New Year and im telling you not a single soul was around the proximity of Tianamen sqaure so we just enjoyed it by ourselve. Second time we were there, it was also during the spring festival and it was a totally different experiece, way too many people so upon seeing the crowd we backed out. The third time being there, it was close for some reason. It is one of the top attractions in China because of its history and if you are curious and wants to see it with your own eyes then yes this is worth a stop for like 30 minutes. Nearest Subway Station: Tianamen East or West on line 1. The security is really strict here, it's like scanning going into an airport so avoids taking sharp objects. Enjoy the visit. !
