I recommend visiting this place during the summer vacation. It's a masterpiece, free and less crowded.

I took my kids to the Beijing Academy of Painting on the weekend. There weren’t many people there and the exhibition was open to the public free of charge.

Qi Baishi was born in a poor family and was very precious with his painting materials. He would not throw away even the paper was dirty. When he drew and drafted his paintings, he was not particular about the material, size or value of the paper. Wrapping paper with printed words, damaged paper stained with oil, and leftover small papers can all become the medium for his painting.
