The Great Wall of China - Badaling

#thisischina Badaling is one of the most common access point to the Great Wall. There’s a long distance bus from the city center that takes you directly there for 12 RMB only. As far as I remember the last bus is at noon! We prioritised arriving early at the bus station.

It’s a fun ride as you can catch views of the Wall on the way, but it was also quite lingering. The road was congested and we spent some time stuck in a traffic jam. Nevertheless, as soon as we reached, we have to walk a bit of a slope up to the ticket office. There are also a bunch of restaurants, souvenir shops and beverage shops.

Tip 👉🏼 Some souvenirs are ridiculously overpriced. It’s time to bargain! 😁I haggled with sellers and got some at decent prices.

Otherwise, the views from the wall are unlimited and incredible!🌳☁️☀️ Millions of opportunities for pictures 📸 and the fortress towers along the wall are good spots to chill in the shade!

Recommendation 👉🏼 Some stairs are quite narrow and steep 😬 Wear comfortable sporty shoes 👟
