Cuandixia Village, also known as Chuandixia Village, is under the administration of Zhaitang Town in Mentougou District, Beijing. It's a traditional Chinese village located at an altitude of 650 meters, with a total area of 5.33 square kilometers.
The village is built along the mountainside, following the natural terrain with buildings at various elevations. Currently, there are 74 sets of Qing Dynasty residences comprising 689 rooms. The upper and lower parts of the village are separated by an arc-shaped wall that is 200 meters long and up to 20 meters high at its tallest point. The front of the village is enclosed by a 170-meter-long bow-shaped wall, with three passages connecting the upper and lower sections.
The scenic area is now free of admission fees, though parking is charged. The village isn't very large and can be explored in one day. Main attractions include Yixiantian (One-Line Sky), the Wealthy Household Courtyard, Longwang Temple, the Screen Wall, and ancient locust trees.
