MuTianYu Great Wall Daytour from Beijing

🚌 Transport & Arrival
We left Beijing on a tour bus 🚍. The journey to the Mutianyu Great Wall took just over an hour.
At the entrance, you’ll find plenty of shops 🛍️ and coffee bars ☕.
We followed the signs ➡️ to the shuttle bus, which took us to the cable car station.

There are two sections: East and West. Both have cable cars 🚠 going up and down.
We bought a ticket that included round-trip cable car rides for both areas.

🏔️ Great Wall Experience
Our route:
1. Started at Watchtower 6 ↗️
2. Hiked to Watchtower 1🏃♂️
3. Rode the Toboggan down 🛷
4. Took the cable car up to the West section
5. Hiked from Watchtower 14 to 20 ⛰️ (Tower 20 is steep but worth the view!)
6. Took the cable car down and returned to the bus 🚍

💡 Tip: If you’re fit, you can walk between Watchtowers 6–14 (takes ~40 mins 🕐). Our guide exaggerated and said it took 2.5 hours 😅

⚠️ Tips for Your Visit
- ☂️ Bring an umbrella or hat — shade is limited
- 💧 Carry water — bottles and food are expensive on the Wall
- 🔥 Bargain hard for souvenirs — initial prices are often inflated

📜 Brief History
The Great Wall is a 2,000+ year-old ancient fortification 🛡️ stretching over 21,000 km. It was built to protect China from invasions and is a symbol of perseverance and architectural brilliance.
