Beijing Must-Visit Attraction — Yanqi Lake

Introduction to Yanqi Lake
Yanqi Lake is located at the foot of the Yanshan Mountains in Huairou District, Beijing. It is named after the large flocks of wild geese that rest here in spring and autumn. It is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction and was the venue for the 2014 APEC Summit and the 2017 Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation. The scenic area covers 230 hectares of water, with a shoreline exceeding 20 kilometers. It consists of East and West Lakes, surrounded by mountains on three sides, boasting an excellent ecological environment, clear water, and rich vegetation. The scenery changes with the seasons: peach and apricot blossoms bloom in spring, lotus flowers dot the lake in summer, fiery red leaves in autumn, and a silver-white winter landscape. It is a comprehensive suburban Beijing destination combining natural sightseeing, leisure entertainment, and international exchange.
