McWay Falls (Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park)

#holidayitinerary

McWay Falls is one of the most photographed spots in California, and seeing it in person was unforgettable. The waterfall cascades 80 feet directly onto the beach, which you can view from an easy trail. The turquoise water, golden sand, and lush cliffs create a scene that looks too perfect to be real. I went at sunset, and the glow made the whole cove look magical. It’s not a place for swimming or walking on the beach, but just standing there and taking it in is pure joy. It’s small but incredibly powerful in its beauty.
